Derek is the Executive Director of Vancity Community Foundation. He leads Vancity Community Foundation as an arms-length public foundation with 150+ donor advised funds and a core endowment associated with the membership of Vancity Credit Union. He has worked in various aspects of impact investment for more than 20 years, previously with the venture capital arm of Vancity, as well as roles with Coast Capital and starting his career in microcredit in Bangladesh. Derek has worked in management consulting, also serving on a broad range of nonprofit boards.
